Once again we are writing to humbly thank you for standing with us through this seemingly endless trial. This has been another difficult month for Cora. On top of the painful leg and loneliness, she has had an increasing problem with fluid retention. This has caused her discomfort 24 hours a day that’s resulted in loss of sleep, a reduced appetite and increased discouragement. She is crying out for the end to quickly come. By now you must be thinking, “Wow! This isn’t really what I want to read.” Believe me, I know what you mean – this isn’t what I want to write! But we know our only hope is in the Lord and we are asking you once again to keep praying – keep holding us up before the Father. We have spend the last 15 years praying and believing, trying to keep focused on the Lord and His promises. But to be honest, we’re out of gas. We need God’s help so badly but feel totally inept at getting into His presence. We just keep remembering the verse the Lord gave Cora when she started on this journey: “While you also co-operate by your prayers for us – helping and laboring together with us. Thus the lips of many persons Godward turned will [eventually] give thanks on our behalf for the grace (the blessing of deliverance) granted us at the request of the many who have prayed.” (2 Cor. 1:11 Amplified) Thank you for your continued prayers. Despite how things look and feel right now, we’re still looking forward to celebrating with you! Our first month in the “normal” apartment complex has not been too bad. The only problem has been some noise from the people upstairs and car doors slamming late at night. I am grateful for the patience and understanding of the people in the Seed Company in giving me the opportunity to help in providing computer support. It’s been slow going, but it’s going! Jenny has been thoroughly enjoying her piano playing and the many new friends she’s made through her work. We pray the Lord will bless you and keep you and make His face to shine upon you. We are so grateful for you and hope you have a blessed month.
