"You are my God, and I will give You thanks; You are my God, and I will exalt you. Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever."
Psalms 118:28, 29

This is a month of thanksgiving, and we want to thank each one of you for your prayers, words of encouragement, faithful support and demonstrations of love this past year. You have shown us the love of God in so many ways, enabling us to come through a very difficult time. We thought it would be appropriate to briefly list some of the miraculous things the Lord has done this past year.

He has delivered us from the spirit of death. The possibility of Cora dying used to be on all of our minds, but we asked you to pray against that. Because of your prayers the thoughts of death and the desire to die has been removed by the Hand of God.

He is delivering us from fear and worry. As you have prayed about this the past few months, God has been doing amazing things. Old patterns of worry are being erased and situations that used to cause great fear are faced with calm and an assurance of God's presence. There is only one explanation for this GOD!

The new computer systems at Wycliffe Associates have been implemented and are doing well.

David has been given many opportunities to use and expand his musical talents in the Lord's service. He is frequently participating in or leading worship at our church on Sunday and Wednesday nights as well as at Wycliffe and a newly planted fellowship. And he is even taking voice lessons, a true miracle for one who almost wouldn't sing two years ago!

Jenny has experienced tremendous growth in the Lord this past year as she cared for Cora. This has been a beautiful work of the Lord.

These are the highlights of the great things the Lord has done for us this past year. Just the other morning Cora was saying how, physically, 1994 has been her worst year yet. Yet this has actually been a better year than the two or three previous years! How can this be? We don't really know, but we are beginning to learn that with God, ALL things are possible!

We are also SLOWLY learning to "give thanks in all circumstances" (1 Thes. 5:18) because it is God's will for us in Christ Jesus and because we see Him accomplishing many things in each of our lives as we wait. But this does not mean that we have backed away from praying for healing one bit, since we know that is His will for Cora and long for the day when her testimony is released. What a day that will be!

And certainly you have played a major part in all this by praying for and ministering to us when we were down and discouraged. What a mighty God we serve! We are confident that the day is quickly approaching when "many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many." (2 Cor. 1:11)
