I believe the Holy Spirit has given me a very special message this month which is going to minister specifically to certain people. May God anoint and bless this word and prosper it in those to whom He is sending it. Two children of God had visions for the future that burned deeply in their hearts. They rejoiced greatly as they trusted God and walked in His brightness. But soon their pathway turned. The road became dark, mysterious and full of dangers. They proclaimed the word God had given them and called on His great Name seemingly to no effect. The enemy taunted them saying, "Where is your God? See, He doesn't love you! Just look how powerless you are!" Time passed and still the darkness remained. Even some of the brethren urged them to give up on these ideas. "Surely God would respond and empower you if you had really heard from Him," they said. "You may as well just accept things as they are. Life is too short to wait around. Just go do what you can. God wants you to enjoy life!" One of the weary children thought, "Maybe they are right. After all, it has been so long we may have heard wrong. God wouldn't want us to suffer like this. He would give us power over every enemy." And so that one gave up and left his friend to find what peace and fulfillment he could have right now. The remaining child of God seemed all alone and had no idea how many really walked the path with him so dark it was. "If I were only stronger in the Lord, surely I would have overcome," he thought sadly. "God is a God of power but I am so weak, yet I know what burns in my heart is true. Surely I have failed the Lord. What must He think of me surely He is displeased. There must be something else I should be doing." In a soft whisper he prayed, "Oh, Lord, I know not what to do but my eyes are on You." Then the Word of the Lord came to him. "These are the Words of the Holy One Who has the key of David, Who opens and no one shall shut, Who shuts and no one shall open. I know your works and what you are doing. See! I have set before you a door wide open, which no one is able to shut. I know that you have but little power, and yet you have kept My Word and guarded My message and have not denied My Name. Take note! I will make those of the synagogue of Satan come and bow down before your feet and learn that I have loved you. Because you have held fast the lesson of my patience with the expectant endurance that I give you, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which is coming on the whole world. I am coming quickly; hold fast what you have so that no one may rob you of your crown. He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar on the temple of my God." (Rev. 3:7 11) He was amazed! God knew he had little power but did not rebuke him for it. God had heard the taunts of the enemy and knew all the pains he'd endured and planned to defend him. Best of all, the Lord was well pleased. And now he knew that, for him, the way to overcome was not my might or power, but simply by holding fast to what the Spirit had given him. Joy filled his heart as he continued on the dark path. He no longer looked at the darkness but looked up and out for the door he knew lay wide open just ahead. The Lord assured me this letter was going to speak deeply to specific people. Whether you are one of them or not, please join me in this prayer for them. Lord, we pray for these that you are speaking to, that You our strong Redeemer, whose name is the Lord of Hosts, will continually renew each heart with Your vision. Abundantly give them the ability to endure with the expectant hope that comes only be your Spirit until their feet pass through the door You have opened wide for them that Your purpose be fulfilled. We ask it all for Jesus' sake and for the sake of Your kingdom. Amen. We love you all and appreciate your special place in our lives.
